Cutting Down On Bad Debt

Are you someone who has poor credit rating, how many times have you read headlines like this, hoping that it will "fix" your financial problems?

Can you ever imagine being able to be solvate again, being debt free, being able to buy a new car or take the family on holiday.

Can this ever come true? Probably not, once you engage in the credit repair offers, which involve a fee to clean up your records, this is what happens-

  • The credit company contacts the Credit bureau who does not reports that you have "Bad debt" information held for you.
  • Whilst they investigate the claim, the Credit bureau will remove the "Bad Debt" information from your file.
  • Your Credit Report will be cleaned up, and hi pesto The Credit history is clean.
  • However once the credit bureau completes their investigation the "Bad Debt" information is placed back on your credit report. Only wrong/incorrect information can be removed from your records. Correct/accurate information can not be removed from your file.

Correct and accurate information stays on your credit file for 7 years; a bankruptcy appears for a 10 year period.

How do you choose a legitimate company to help you out of debt?

It's simple, by law, credit repair agencies cannot ask for payment until they've provided the service they promised. So don't choose a Company that asks for their fees up front.

Be aware that a "Credit repair offer" could be an attempt to steal your identify, as they will have all your personal information, like your Bank account details.

Just be careful who you choose to help you to deal with your Bad Debt, don't create more debt problems.
